Original 1997 Sample of the Adidas Real Deal made for Jermaine O'Neal during his 2nd year with the Portland Trailblazers.
Both shoes feature JO5 woven labels in metallic gold on the heel and each shoe is signed with the same inscription "If it is to be, it's up to me"
This is a famous motivational quote from the artist William Johnsen.
Will make an amazing display piece on many levels.
I am unsure if Jermaine actually wore this pair but there are many indications that he did as the insoles are missing (often players keep their custom orthotic insoles.. and each shoe has a handwritten message. I can only find 1 photo of him wearing this pair and it's from a February 17th 1998 game where he had a double double (18 & 12) in a win.
This pair is worn but still has miles left in them and are not disintegrating because they have EVA foam that lasts much longer than PU foams.
